Today I had the honor of accompanying my dads to Erfurt,
in the East of Germany.
My daddy Troy had to deliver an important package there,
which had been delivered from Manila (Philippines) MNL
via Abu Dhabi (UAE) AUH.
So first we picked up the package from the airport.
We had gotten an extra cute rental car: a FIAT 500 convertible!!
Check out the cool license plate: NY!

The trip took about 3 hours.
We passed Amazon in Bad Hersfeld.
Dad Heiko sells the UGODOGs through them.

After they came back from Berlin they told me a lot about the time when
Germany was split after the war into two parts (1949-1989).
Wasn't it like putting people into a crate?

Wasn't it like putting people into a crate?
This was the former German-German border Herleshausen (West) / Wartha (East).
You can still see some reminders...
A sad story!
Fortunately that is all over now!!!
After another drive we arrived in Erfurt, where the package had to be delivered.
Package drop off time, and always of course time for a pee and a nice run.

Then we arrived in the beautiful city which lies in the federal state of Thüringen.

The first thing we had to do was to have a look
at the breathtaking Cathedral of Erfurt 'Saint Mary', which dates back to 752 (left)
Famous for the steps on which concerts take place...
On the right you see Saint Severi Church.
... and photo sessions with extra cute dogs!
I love to strike poses. Do you like this one?
oops, where is the water???
I had to stay outside.
That is weird.
Aren't we dogs also God's creatures?
BUT:
Look what my dad found on the internet:
Paintings by Emanuel de Witte:
"Interior of the Old Church in Delft" (1653-55)
Please have a look at the details!
I guess back in the days dogs in Delft pretty much did as they pleased ;-)

But back to the Cathedral of Erfurt...
This is 'Wolfram'
and one of the oldest free standing sculpures in Germany,
from 1160.
Also this sculpure of Saint Mary is as old.
Did you know that Martin Luther studies and lived in Erfurt as a monk?
This is him in 1529.
After the cultural part of the trip it was time for some FOOOOD!
Thueringen is another sausage paradise!
Who the heck wants to have Danish Hot Dogs???Look what there was on the menu!
Then we crossed the Krämerbrücke, the "Grocers' Bridge"
You know them from the Berlin pics, right?
One of the two car types in the German Democratic Republic.
Sniff, sniff, interesting old stuff!
Then we arrived at the other side.
Didn't feel like being on a bridge though.
But is is one!!
Hello, hello, hello, look at this fellow.
Don't I know him from TV?
Yes, it is Mr. Sandman. They call him 'Sandmännchen' in Germany.
Very nice here.
Guess who could NOT resist?
Ok guys, time to say good-bye to Erfurt.
Thank you guys, for such a wonderful day.
When we got home I got a little reward for being such a good girl ;-)
A big one...
