Berlin, Berlin * June 4, 2012

As you know my dads went to visit Berlin,
the capital of my new home country. They were amazed!
So much history there, they say...
And delicious things aswell!

Meanwhile I had a very good time in the dog pensione in Kelsterbach.
I just loved it!

They flew to TXL - Berlin Tegel.
The airport is going to be closed soon as the big one BER
is under construction.
My dad Heiko always likes to explain facts to me...
Lots of history also here:
Tegel Airport (in the French sector) was built
during the Berlin Air Lift in 1948,
because Tempelhof (in the American sector)
was not big enough for all those flight going on back then.
The first impressions of Berlin at Zoo Station.
As you know I am a sausage fan and Berlin is most famous for its
CURRY WURST.
An extra delicous sausage covered with ketchup and curry powder.
My dads will prepare me one soon!
Right away afterwards they went to the Brandenburg Gate,
the symbol of separation of the two Germanys
during the 'Cold War'.
Those "American' and 'Russian' actors stand right in front of the American Embassy
Pariser Platz when 'The Wall' was still up:
Pariser Platz shortly after 'The Wall' came down.
...and interested dogs everywhere ;-)
The bear is the symbol of Berlin,
you can buy it anywhere my dads told me.
The old/new parlament is right next to Brandenburg Gate.
Of course my dads went to the KaDeWe, 'Kaufhaus des Westens'
the well-know and biggest department store on the mainlain of Europe established in 1907.
Only Harrod's in London is bigger. Cool!
See the Brandenburg Gate made out of marzipan?
Naturally they also had dog stuff - extra expensive!!!
For extra rich or extra crazy dog owners ;-)
A food bowl for 1,195.00 Euro! Just image.
They described it as 'The Maybach among food bowls'.
Funny!
Well, after all those empty food bowls my dads got inspired
and landed up in the huge delicatessen department:
Impressions from Ku'damm, the shopping lane in the former 'West' of the city.
Dad Troy got a cute backpack at the Porsche Design store.
It smells so good!
The former 'East' has extraordinary sights.
Among them the TV tower at Alexanderplatz.
This is what cars looked like in the GDR: the so-called 'Trabi'.
I got excited when they showed me these pics.
So American!!
A store dedicated to me!
Good bye, Berlin and see you soon!
My dads came back to Frankfurt after having a good time aswell.
They couldn't wait to pick me up from the doggie pensione of course,
it was so nice to see them again.
When I finally got home I was
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired.
Finally back home on my sofa.
Thank you for being there for me!

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
